HistoryBurt and Marjorie Williams started Williams Oil Company in 1958. The company started delivering home heating oil. As the company grew various products were added to the list. The oil company delivered fuel oil and gasoline throughout northern Pennsylvania and southern New York. Randy Williams the present chief executive officer and president of Williams Oil Company has worked at Williams Oil all his life. As a young man he would work on the oil and gasoline trucks delivering to many of Williams Oil's customers. Over time, Williams Oil began to transform itself. It was the leading home heating oil distributor in northern Pennsylvania, and the company purchased a car dealership. The oil company then started purchasing a few convenience stores. The first store purchased was in Covington, Pennsylvania in the 1983. The second store was purchased in 1985 on Keystone Ave. in Sayre Pa. In 1986 Jim Gustin sold his small chain of stores along with the Edgewood dairy to Randy Williams. Jim Gustin had several long term employees, including Tom Dix and Kieth Strouble, who joined the Williams Oil team and were the foundation for the creation of the Dandy Mini Marts. The company continued to grow throughout the late 1980s and into the 1990s. Jack Felt joined the Dandy Mini Marts team in 1991 as the General Manager and helped build the first store that would be build from the ground up in Wyalusing Pa on Route 6. Throughout the 1990s Dandy Mini Mart continued to grow opening four stores in the Sayre, Pa area. Stores were also acquired in Ulster and Rome Pa. New construction occurred in Millerton and Lawrenceville, Pa. and Elmira and Wellsburg New York. The Dandy Mini Marts also were now placing co-brands such as Subway and Pizza Hut in their convenience stores. During the late 1990s and into the turn of the century, many new stores were added through acquisitions. Sandro D'Introno joined Dandy Mini Marts as General Manager in 2004 upon the retirement of Jack Felt. Jack now serves as Assistant General Manager. Dandy Mini Marts continues to grow in sales and add new stores under the leadership of owner Randy Williams and the Management Team.
